Session Descriptions:

12:30–2:45pm – Session 1

Clarity + Comfort in Developing Vocabulary in Ballroomin'

Come join us to enhance your ballroomin' blues dancing and partnership! We'll work on deepening the coziness and connection of our close embrace, and use that to lead and follow precise movements. We'll use these mechanics to work through new vocabulary and talk about the process of discovering new, repeatable vocabulary in your own practice and social dance! No matter how long you've been dancing, this class will help you deepen your understanding and feeling in ballroomin'!

3:15–5:30pm – Session 2

Shaping + Athleticism in Ballroomin'

Ballroomin' blues is an amazing canvas for creating cool matching and contrasting shapes with our partner to set up musical moments, big and small. We'll explore and practice a variety of cool shapes and transitions together, and explore how athletic ballroomin' can really be. Whether slow or fast, this family of blues dances requires strength and control, so we'll exercise those key components to more effectively represent the Jazz Blues we dance to in our bodies and partnerships.
